Rescue, Relief, and Rehabilitate — Standing with communities during their most challenging times
Nepal is vulnerable to a wide spectrum of natural disasters due to its varied topography, ranking it among the 10 most disaster-prone countries in the world. Sewa International Nepal believes in serving humanity by incorporating the ideology of '3Rs: Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitate'.
From the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake to the Jajarkot earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic, our 588+ volunteers have been at the forefront of disaster response, distributing tens of thousands of relief items and establishing isolation centres across Nepal.
Serving across multiple disaster fronts with dedication and speed
After the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake, Sewa International Nepal built Aamako Maya Chhatrabas — a 4-story hostel in Bidur-2, Nuwakot — housing 50 earthquake-affected children with food and education. We also reconstructed schools in Charikot (Dolakha), Dhadingbesi (Dhading), and Chitwan.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we executed a massive response under the "Help Nepal Combat COVID-19" campaign. We operated 7 isolation centres, distributed 1,153 grocery kits, supplied 800 O₂ cylinders and 32 concentrators to hospitals. A total of 588 Sewa volunteers served tirelessly.
Following the devastating Jajarkot and West-Rukum earthquake, Sewa International Nepal immediately deployed relief teams. We distributed blankets (1,090 pcs), double blankets (300 pcs), tents (1,300 pcs), and grocery kits (300 pcs) across the affected districts.
Your support helps us provide timely rescue, relief, and rehabilitation to communities in need across Nepal.
